Skywatch Friday

-
About two weeks ago I visited Vienna. It was something like let´s-the-Christmas-come-into-our-mind trip. And it was beautiful. The weather was amazing. Freezing but sunny. The blue sky almost without a single cloud.

We started with a short walk into the city centre, we lit the candle in the cathedral, had a good espresso in one of many Vienna´s cafés. And then we went to Albertina to see the great Impressionism Painting Light exhibition.
My favourite painter is Joseph Mallord William Turner who influenced some of the greatest Impressionists (eg. Claude Monet), so watching all those painting in Albertina was like watching his children growing and changing and developing and evolving. And it was a bliss.

After visiting the gallery we went to the Christmas Market to drink some hot toddy and then we went home. The whole day was great and the Christmas atmosphere grabbed us. And, of course, I should have done some photos for skywatch. And here they are:

Browse the Skywatch Friday site for more skies from all over the world. You won´t be diappointed.

Very nice! I have always wanted to visit Vienna. I haven't been that far east. I loved Munich and I'm sure I still have family there. Maybe my next trip across the pond will be to some of the Eastern areas. I would love to visit Prague and Transylvania too.
