New Year Came and Brought Me Ilness and Plenty of Time

-
The New Year´s Eve was fun but it seems to me that midnight comes earlier every year.
I´ve started this year with an ilness. I have a cold and sore throat and therefore I ´m spending most of my time in bed and drinking hot tea with honey.
Despite the fact, I don´t like being ill and limited in things I usually do, I must say that doing nothing is quite a relax and amusement. While I am ill, I can pursue the things I cannot spend much time with in my "normal life". Usually because of lack of time (you know, one should be responsible and settle his or her duties first).
So I´ve realised I am enjoying myself a lot these days. I am reading about one book and half a day and I saw several films and TV shows I missed at the cinema last year or just didn´t have time to watch them. All those things have made me quite happy, I must say.

At weekend, I saw Wanted (2008) and Iron Man (2008) movies. Both of them are based on comics. I haven´t read any of them (I am not very comic kind of girl), but these movies are fun and gripping.
To be honest, I think they are so fine mainly because of James McAvoy (Wanted) and Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man) playing the the leading characters. Those two actors are amazing and thanks to them, the movies are as good as they are.

So the weekend was full of action, but my mood changed yesterday and I went through a very pleasant six-hour marathon of 1995 BBC series of Jane Austen´s Pride and Prejudice.
I was sipping my tea (let´s say litres of tea) and watched Mr. Darcy´s (awesome Colin Firth) and Elizabeth´s (cute Jennifer Ehle) journey to each other, and was absolutely thrilled about every single part of the series. Charismatic actors, witty lines by Janes Austen, wonderful adaptation.
And I was also very curious about the "one of the most unforgettable moments in British TV history" (according to some research) - the scene showing Firth in a wet shirt:-)
I like the recent adaptation of Pride and Prejudice with Keira Knightley as Elizabeth Bennet, and directed by Joe Wright, but this 1995 BBC serial is my favourite so far and really worth to see.

Being ill and have plenty of time can be really nice.

Well, I can't agree with being ill, not the kind we just wxperienced, but I love watching movies on TV and I also love "Pride and Prejudice"(as well as "Bride and prejudice", which is hilarious and has banghra music). I've seen both versions, loved both, and could watch Colin Frith recite the phone book for hours -with or without a wet shirt (wet shirt preferred, of course). Glad you enjoyed your holiday! '~)
PS Love the music.

I like Bolywood films. Well, I haven´t seen many, but I like the ones I saw:-)
My first Bolywood film was Laggan and still is my favourite (also has a lot of songs in it). But Bride and Prejudice was fun and I agree with you - it was hilarious.

Watching Colin Firth recites the phone book in a wet shirt, hmmm... Can I get him at home?:-)
The holidays were fun, indeed:-)

I am glad you like the music. It is from soundtrack of a French film Amelie from Montmartre (2001)(in French Le fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain). It´s wonderful. As well as the soundtrack.
